Location

Flux observation site of poplar plantation in East Henan Plain is affiliated with Institute of Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The station locates at Minquan County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province ( 34°43′33″N,115°05′42″E,asl 102m ). The vegetation type of the underlying surface of the flux tower is Warm temperate artificial deciduous broadleaved forest.

Climatic

Continental monsoon climate.

mean annual temperature:14.4 ℃; mean annual precipitation: 678mm; precipitation is uneven and droughts occur frequently.

Vegetation and soil

The area surrounding the Flux Tower is a forest of Pinus sylvestris var. mongolica plantation. The canopy height is about 10m. The main vegetation on the forest floor includes Senna tora (L.) Roxb. 1832, Setaria viridis (Linn.) Beauv, and Trifolium incarnatum Linn..

The soil type on the forest floor is sandy soil.

Infrared H2O/CO2 gas analyzer: installed at a height of 23m, model LI-7500

Sonic anemometer: installed at a height of 23m, model CSAT-3

Net radiation sensor: installed at a height of 15.5m, model SP Lite2,NLD

PAR sensor: installed at a height of 2/4/17/32m, model LI190SB

Air temperature/humidity probe: installed at a height of 9/17/20/32m, model HMP45C

Automatic rain gauge: installed at a height of 2/32m, model AV-3665R

Soil heat flux: installed at a depth of 0.05m, model HFP01SC

Soil temperature/humidity probe: installed at a depth of 0.05/0.1/0.2/0.4/0.6m, model CS650

The data sampling frequency: 10Hz, the average flux time: 30min
