自2000年以来,以土壤碳氮耦合循环为主要研究方向,利用分子生物学、同位素示踪和生态系统过程模型等手段,重点研究了土壤侵蚀和大气氮沉降对陆地生态系统“失踪碳汇”分布的影响,在土壤再分布过程与流域模拟、稳定性碳氮同位素富集理论、土壤碳氮耦合循环及其对增氮的响应机理等方面取得了一系列创新性研究成果。发表论文90余篇,SCI收录32篇,参写专著4部。部分研究被美国EPA Nitrogen Newsletter和Science Letter Hot Topics报道。
